Well tipsters what a Grand Final! An amazing game and an amazing result. For the first time since the tips commenced in 1978 (incidentally just 6 months after the last GF draw in 1977) we have a 27th Round of tipping.

AFTER 8 ROUNDS MARIE MELLAS IS 6 AHEAD!

Well what an interesting 8 Rounds of the Mellas Toty Awards. At the end of the first 8 Rounds Marie Mellas is dominating the 2010 Tips with 49 tips - 6 ahead of her nearest rival Daniel! Even more interesting is that the top 5 are dominated by the youngster - Marie, Daniel, Zoe and Alyssa are all in the top 5 along with Kon Mellas in 4th spot. The Round 8 Ladder is as follows:

Better Late Than Never: Daniel and Marie dominate first 4 weeks of 2010 season

Hello All!

Yes it is Round 19 and we have not had any updates for the tips for 2010. Thank you to all who have continued to put their tips in regularly. Over the next 2 weeks I will be bringing the tips up to date right up to Round 16. I will be putting up the ladder as as Rounds 4, 8 12 and then 16 to build up the excitement as we head to the 2010 Mellas Toty Awards.

In the first four Rounds on 2010 we only had one 8 and that was Marie Mellas with 8 Tips in Round 4. The first 4 weeks were dominated by Daniel Esteban and Marie Mellas who both head the table with a commanding lead of 4. In fact the 3rd generation dominate with Zoe, Matthew and Alyssa also in the top 8. Down the bottom is George and Irene who only put in their tips for the first 2 weeks of 2010.

GERRY AND IRENE THE EARLY FAVOURITES TO WIN THE 2010 TOTY Award

Hello Tipsters and welcome to a new decade of the Mellas Toty Awards. Well what an eventful decade the 00's were! We had George Mellas winning his first ever Toty Award in 2006 after having been in the tips since their very beginning in 1978. The 00's were a decade for many first time winners - Joe Raudino in 2001, George Esteban in 2004 and Irene Mellas in 2005 (and again in 2009). But the decade belonged to the 2009 inductee ot the Mellas TOTY Hall of Fame, Gerry Mellas who was the Tipster of the Decade with 3 TOTYS(closely followed by Kon Mellas and Irene with 2).

So with the Richmond v Carlton game about to kick off the season tomorrow night - it is again Irene and Gerry who are favourites to win the 1st TOTY of the decade.

As I gave you all some predictions a year ago which went nowhere here are my 2010 procrastinations:
